Beach volleyball in short.
How it differs from indoor
Beach volleyball is played barefoot on sand, in competition two against two on a slightly smaller court. So everyone has to pass, set and attack. In casual games people also play three or four a side, which is less demanding and easier to start with.

Tip for beginners
Start with four a side: more touches, less running. Bring sunscreen, water and a cap; on hot days, socks against the warm sand are worth a lot.
Season
Outdoors the beach season runs roughly from May to September, depending on the weather. Evenings after work are the busiest, so book early or join an open session.
