Good to know

Tennis in Salzburg.

Singles or doubles

In singles you play one person and cover the whole court; in doubles you share a side with a partner. If you are new to Salzburg or have no regular partner, open doubles are the quickest way in.

Where to play in Salzburg

There are tennis courts in Salzburg and the surrounding area, clay courts outdoors and courts in halls; where a game takes place is shown on every game. Tennis venues can’t be booked directly through oClub yet – once one joins, you’ll see it on this page.

Tip for beginners

If you are coming back after a long break, pick a game marked “Beginner” or a lesson. On clay you need shoes with a herringbone sole, indoors suitable court shoes.

Season

The outdoor season on clay runs roughly from April to October. In winter play moves indoors, where evening courts are scarce and go quickly.
