Padel in short.
What is padel?
Padel is a racket sport played in doubles on a court about half the size of a tennis court, enclosed by glass walls and mesh. After the bounce the ball may come back off the wall; serves are underhand. You play with a solid, stringless racket and a ball with slightly less pressure than a tennis ball.
Where to play in Salzburg
There are padel courts in Salzburg and the surrounding area; where a game takes place is shown on every game. Padel venues can’t be booked directly through oClub yet – once one joins, you’ll see it on this page.
Tip for beginners
The first rallies come quickly because the court is small and the walls keep the ball in play. Let the ball come off the back wall rather than rushing it. Many venues rent rackets; the court listing says whether yours does.
Season
Indoor courts are played all year, outdoor courts mainly from spring to autumn. Evenings are the busiest, so it pays to plan early.
