Squash in short.
What is squash?
Squash is played by two people in an enclosed court. The ball has to hit the front wall before it bounces on the floor at most once; side and back walls are in play. A match is short and intense; even 45 minutes test stamina and reactions.
Where to play in Salzburg
There are squash courts in sports centres and gyms in Salzburg and the surrounding area. The place is on the game; venues offering squash on oClub are listed further down.
Tip for beginners
Start with a blue or red dot ball: it bounces higher and is easier to reach. Eye protection makes sense, and non-marking shoes are a must. After your shot, move back to the middle of the court instead of standing still.
Season
Squash is an indoor sport and runs all year, whatever the weather. In winter it is a good alternative to sport outdoors.
